About IoD Jersey
The Institute of Directors (IoD) in the United Kingdom was founded in 1903 and obtained a Royal Charter just three years later in 1906.
IoD Jersey was founded in 1966 and has over 830 members from all sectors of the business community and is at the forefront of promoting business and ethical leadership in Jersey. It is presently chaired by Alex Ruddy with the support of the Executive Officer, Zoë Wauton and is comprised of the main committee and eleven sub-committees.
IoD Jersey has a significant voice and lobbies government on behalf of its members. The Institute also sets the highest standards for corporate governance, through its professional training programmes.
We believe that better directors build better organisations and better organisations build a better world.
We also believe it is the responsibility of every business leader to support cultures that promote inclusion and diversity and ESG priorities - these organisations not only perform better, but give back more to their people, their stakeholders and society.
